Losing a dog is always a distressing experience, but it is crucial to remain optimistic. In some cases, dogs come back to us unexpectedly after long periods, even months or years after they went missing.
Not long ago, a family experienced an extraordinary event when their aged dog came back to them after being separated for three years.
Dorchester Paws, a South Carolina-based animal shelter, received an elderly dog named Binky who goes by the nickname Mr. B. Binky was discovered wandering on the road and was rescued by a kind-hearted person last month.

Binky’s condition was very bad as he had extremely tangled fur, was not getting enough nourishment, had fleas all over his body, and his nails and teeth were in a terrible state. As per a post on Facebook, the shelter took care of him by removing his fur, conducting a medical examination, and giving him a treatment that saved the life of the old dog.
During the process of washing Binky, a microchip was found. The chip was examined to locate the owner of the dog… Surprisingly, it was uncovered that Binky had gone missing three years ago!
The shelter contacted the family to inform them that their elderly dog had been found, which was a long-awaited miracle. The family was shocked and overwhelmed by the news.

Dorchester Paws expressed that the individuals were at a complete loss when they failed to locate him despite their exhaustive efforts. They yearned for his safe return and hoped he would be identified through a scan. For numerous years, they remained by the phone, anticipating any news about him.
Binky was able to return home after three years, thanks to a shelter volunteer who drove the dog for six hours to reunite him with his family.
Everyone shed tears of joy as they completed the seemingly impossible task, and Mr. B can now enjoy a peaceful rest with the family who rescued him from a shelter several years ago.
Although Binky is considered old in dog years, we are certain that he will find joy in being reunited with his beloved family for the remainder of his life.

This is a touching tale and the shelter emphasizes that it’s a crucial reminder to have your pets fitted with microchips.
According to Dorchester Paws, the use of microchips can be highly beneficial as they assist in saving lives and reuniting lost pets with their owners effectively.
It’s a miracle that Binky has returned home, we are delighted to see him.
Share the happy news with your friends and family.
