Thankfully, the Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs organization saw Romeo’s state and intervened immediately. They knew they had to remove him from the shelter, so they began the search for a temporary home that would give him the love and care he needed.
After a successful search, they found the perfect family who welcomed him with open arms. Romeo has a new home now and a dog sister named Porsche who spends her days playing and having fun with him and his family.
Romeo’s story is a testament to the fact that all dogs have feelings and can be deeply affected by abandonment. We must remember that these little animals have emotions and that abandoning them hurts them a lot.
