A kind foster family welcomed a sight-impaired Pit Bull, Hazel, into their home. They taught her sound commands to help her orient herself and acclimate to the new environment.
Unfortunately, despite doing her best to adapt, she became despondent and withdrawn; continually lying around with an air of melancholy about her. Her foster mom notes that Hazel was completely “mopey.”
Fortunately, with a few days of adjustment, Hazel completely transformed! Her tail began to wag and her true playful personality was unleashed.
The vet also mentioned that she would be an optimal candidate for corrective eye surgery which could potentially restore her eyesight. With help from the rescue group, it seemed like Hazel’s future was suddenly looking brighter than ever before!
After being transferred to a foster home that could provide her with the necessary care and surgery, Hazel daringly underwent the operation.
