After 700 Days Of Waiting, Rescue Dog Finally Finds A Loving Home To Call Their Own

Each rescued dog dreams of finding a permanent home, yet some must wait an extended period before their dream comes true. For some hapless pups, months or years may pass without being adopted into the loving arms of a new family.

After a lengthy 700-day journey, the adorable pup Tucker finally found his fur-ever home! This only made it even more special for him after such an elongated wait.

Tucker was in the care of All About Animals Rescue and Transport, Inc. since January 2021 after his harrowing experience stuck in a shelter where he had been neglected – starved, injured with severe burns including cigarette burns, and skinned with a knife on his back!

After witnessing Tucker’s state, we quickly took him to the vet. Unfortunately, no one offered assistance apart from his foster – despite not being financially able to take on that responsibility herself – but she knew it was wrong leaving him behind like this. We are all so grateful for her selflessness!

From his days of despair and insecurity, Tucker has now flourished into a beautiful pup. When he arrived at the shelter they reported that he was terrified by cars and unfamiliar people, including children; yet despite his nerves, he is now thriving in spite of them.

Tucker was in perfect harmony with his foster mom and furry companions, though he still needed a forever home. His current residence had no fence for Tucker to frolic around in – an activity essential to the pup’s wellbeing.

But it was difficult to find Tucker a permanent forever home. A foster family took him in, only for them to return him hours later because he was shy and they couldn’t comprehend the rescue dog lifestyle. Another potential adopter even chose not to meet with Tucker before backing out of their decision altogether.

As the holidays are rapidly approaching, All About Animals made a valiant effort to give Tucker’s life in the shelter an uplifting ending. After enduring 700 days of being homeless, this campaign was especially meaningful and heartfelt as they sought out his forever home.

On December 20, we fervently prayed that Tucker’s wish of finding a permanent home with a yard this Christmas would come true. He deserves the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and gain assurance from people who comprehend his needs in order to help him flourish within the outside world.

Miraculously, Tucker’s dream of finding a new home came true! Just two years after he was initially discovered in such dire straits, the pup found his happily ever after when he was adopted.

On January 3, the rescue organization joyously revealed that Tucker had found a home with his new family – ending his stay at the shelter.

There was a sense of bittersweetness when Tucker finally found his forever home after so much time in the shelter, yet everyone at the rescue could not help but be delighted that he got to experience love and kindness.

“We will remember him fondly,” they wrote, expressing their optimism that everything would be wonderful. It was a bittersweet moment to bid Tucker farewell, and we offer our best wishes to his family.
