Dog Rescued from 6-Year Barn Imprisonment Gets Stunning Makeover and New Life

When the animal rescue team was asked to help a sick dog’s dying owner, they didn’t hesitate. However, they faced difficulties when they got to the location. Lazarus, the dog, had been stuck in a barn stall for six years. The rescuers couldn’t enter the stall because of the dirt and mud piled up at the entrance.

Upon reaching the stall, the two women were shocked to see the poor condition Lazarus was in. His coat was so dirty that it made moving difficult for him. They quickly took Lazarus to a groomer for a bath and a haircut. Initially, he resisted the grooming process but soon realized how good it felt.

Lazarus had about 33 pounds of fur removed, making him look like a new dog. Sadly, he had a hard time understanding that he was free. Jessica Kincheloe, the groomer who saved him, mentioned that he was very distrustful of people.

After some time, another dog approached Lazarus. He received threats and soon became friendlier with everyone. It was clear that he wasn’t used to human interaction, possibly having gone years without a kind, gentle touch.

Lazarus spent several weeks at the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue before finding his forever home. Although he initially struggled to walk, dedicated therapy and training enabled him to take his first steps. It wasn’t long before the adorable canine found the perfect family.

They celebrated his eighth birthday by showering him with all the love and affection he deserved. Now, with his beautiful coat of fur and a caring family by his side, you’d never imagine that he once carried 35 pounds of filth.
