With the chance of adoption on the horizon, Jack—the 9-month-old American Bully with special needs that made it difficult for him to walk—was all dolled up and ready. The adorable 30-pound pup was taken by rescue staff and packed off in a car ride 40 minutes away, but sadly his potential adopters never showed! Despite this crushing disappointment, Jack continues to hope against the odds for a family who will provide him with love and care.
The staff and volunteers went above and beyond to console Jack in the wake of his defeat. Generously, someone gifted him a new toy, which helped restore some hope for Jack after his haplessness had been shared around the world. Happily, it seemed that all was not lost as he regained belief in himself once more!
Currently residing at Peaches Bully Rescue in Ohio, Jack is a gentle and loving pup who requires special care. He suffers from spina bifida, an ailment that causes the legs to be angled outwards, making it difficult for him to walk with ease. Moreover, he must wear diapers as this condition has left him incontinent.
Despite Jack’s permanent condition, he is determined to maintain a joyful life. According to the shelter staff, he’s an absolute darling who loves hugs and cuddles! Sadly, long walks are out of the question for him – but at least his human won’t have to endure nature’s elements while they wait for him to finish up outdoors!
Peaches Bully Rescue wrote that although he has a plethora of love to share and many contributions to make, his special needs tend to be intimidating for prospective owners.
The rescue group was overjoyed when a family came forward interested in adopting Jack, and they were willing to make every effort for the pup’s successful adoption story. However, much to Jack’s confusion and dismay, his potential new family failed to appear on the day of his adoption.
After being ghosted, the rescue organization took to social media to narrate what happened – and hundreds of people responded in support. In no time at all, Jack had 600 individuals excitedly interested in him and an overwhelming 200 adoption applications! He was amazed by his sudden luck!
People have been sending Jack gifts from virtually every corner of the earth to make him feel better. He now has an abundant supply of toys, treats, and diapers! The adorable pup can’t quite comprehend why everyone is being so kind to him, yet he’s elated at all the love that’s coming his way!
