Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Officer, Levi Knach, wanted to get a professional photo taken with his police K-9, Kenobi. Unfortunately for him, Kenobi had different plans.
A loyal K-9 with his human, Kenobi couldn’t resist showing love to Knach when he saw him. He snuggled up beneath Knach’s chin, showered him with big, sweet dog kisses, and even tried to earn some affection back from Knach.
Despite the photo-op going wrong, Knach assures us that Kenobi is one of the best-trained working officers who can track people and locate various objects ranging from venison to ginseng. Kenobi takes his job seriously but knows when to take it easy too.
While they train to locate missing persons, evidence from criminal activity, and detect illegally taken wildlife, Kenobi understands the difference between working hours and being “off the clock.” When not working, Kenobi gets down to the business of being a big furbaby, sometimes even performing desk duties.
Kenobi and Knach make an amazing team together. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is lucky to have them on board! From the way their photos have taken the internet by storm, it looks like the rest of the world agrees with us.
In conclusion, it doesn’t matter if your dog’s a working dog, service animal, therapy dog, or just a pet. Dogs will always show their love for their owners. And sometimes, it’s okay to take a break and enjoy some love from our furry friends.
