As Zhuzha limped around, her belly swollen with distress, the volunteers at Love Furry Friends knew she needed urgent medical assistance. One of their members asked a passerby if they had any knowledge about the dog’s situation.
Fortunately, they assured them that Zhuzha had been spayed before so it couldn’t be pregnancy causing her stomach to swell up like this.
The tag attached to the pup’s ear indicated she was spayed through the city’s program, yet Zhuzha still appeared bloated and sore. She felt so weighed down that it made every step a struggle.
Her eyes implored this compassionate woman for assistance as if begging with her puppy dog gaze.
As soon as Zhuzha was brought to the vet, it became clear that her swollen belly was due to a severe heart condition that had caused a fluid buildup in her abdomen.
After undergoing a draining procedure with great success, Zhuzha’s health quickly and dramatically improved!
After a few days, her savior arrived and Zhuzha gladly received the treatment she was given and cherished the moment with the woman who saved her life. It was an awe-inspiring rescue! Now, Zhuzha patiently waits for a family to open up their home to her so that she can live out her days in safety and comfort.
