Stray Pit Bull Gets Rescued From an Abandoned Home During a Snow Storm

While St. Louis braced itself for an oncoming snowstorm, the team at Stray Rescue of St. Louis was feverishly searching for a female Pit Bull they had been trailing for days—and just in time! They managed to locate her before the first flakes fell from the sky.

As the rescue group described on YouTube, they had been trying to locate her for a while; she was hiding in an old row of houses but it seemed impossible to determine which one.

Then they saw her through their trail cam overnight and persisted with their mission—aware that she was all alone and freezing cold.

Thankfully, the snow worked in their favor during this arduous search; they noticed her footprints that led to a less-than-savory house. She had taken refuge in one of the riskier dwellings nearby.

When Stray Rescue of St. Louis explored an already-searched abode, they were astonished by what they found inside – a petrified pooch named Beijing huddled and trembling atop some insulation on the top floor! Even though there was a flooded basement and a large gap she’d have to leap over to enter, it appeared as if her desperation for warmth drove her to take this risk.

She didn’t struggle when she saw them but instead allowed them to take her out of the house. Instantly after settling into their truck, “She was nothing but affectionate”.

A month on from her rescue and “Beijing” is grinning ear to ear; it’s no wonder, after all, she has a new dad now – Rod!

When Stray Rescue of St. Louis posted a heartwarming photo of Molly and her new dad on Facebook, they wrote: “This is why we do what we do! We save invisible souls from the streets and derelict homes who think nobody loves them.

We give love to these dogs, while our supporters provide them with life-saving care. Here’s Molly today in her FOREVER HOME with an amazing Dad waiting for her!”

Rod has lovingly renamed Beijing to Molly and said of her: “Molly is undeniably the greatest dog I have ever had. She’s become a significant part of my life, for which I’m truly grateful.”
