This Dog Spent Six Lonely Years In A Shelter Home, But Now She’s Become A Hollywood Movie Star

Many animal shelters try their best to find homes for their dogs within a reasonable time. But sometimes a dog will simply be overlooked through no fault of their own. Freya is one such dog.

She arrived at fresh fields animal rescue when she was just a puppy and spent seven years there. She watched every other dog in the shelter get adopted, but no one took this cutie home.

Freya was said to have been passed up by 18,720 pet seekers earning her the sad distinction as the world’s loneliest dog. She was taken to hundreds of adoption events and the shelter posted her story multiple times on social media but to no avail. Her story is particularly heartbreaking because in the past few months there seemed to be several times when Freya was within reach of her happily ever after, however.
