Numerous cases have demonstrated that pet dogs can be invaluable nannies for young children at home. They are the perfect caretakers and offer a sense of security to both parents and toddlers alike.
Recently, a father worked on his laptop in the living room while nearby, his toddler played. His two fluffy friends joined him too — Mocha was a Pomeranian and Spitz mix snuggled up with her pal Wooyoo, who was a Samoyed. Together they all lay down comfortably on the couch contentedly as one big happy family.
After some time, the toddler’s father finished his work and rewarded the dogs with their favorite treats. Deciding to tidy up before his wife arrived from outside, he put aside his laptop and began collecting all of the toddler’s toys scattered around. The two pups watched him intently from atop the couch as he carried out this task.
After arranging the pillows to where they belonged, he sat down beside his toddler and watched her play.
He affectionately petted Wooyoo’s belly as she nuzzled against him in appreciation with a loving lick on his hand. The toddler laughed joyfully while bouncing around in her walker at the sight of them together.
In no time, the father was ready to begin vacuuming the room. He carefully took his infant and secured her in a robotic baby swing before Wooyoo backed away from him while he began cleaning the couch’s surface. When Mocha noticed what was happening, it immediately scurried off of its perch on top of the backrest!
As the father vacuumed, Wooyoo stood vigilantly next to the baby as if shielding her from harm’s way. Mocha was just as concerned for the toddler and soon returned to make sure she was alright – upon detecting that all was well, he quickly departed.
Wooyoo stood vigilantly beside the infant as if appointed to guard her against any and all enemies – namely, the dreaded vacuum cleaner.
The pup kept a watchful eye on it in order to ensure that it wouldn’t draw too close for comfort. Reassured by his father’s words that nothing bad would happen, Wooyoo stayed put at his post with unwavering loyalty until he was certain the baby was safe once again.
After successfully maneuvering the vacuum, the father happily gave treats to his two canines for their exemplary behavior. He was especially proud of Wooyoo facing her fear in order to protect her sibling.
