Woman Shares Photos Of Abandoned Dog On Street With Bowl Of Food, Volunteers Make Sure He Thrives

Owning a pet is a big responsibility that comes with a big reward. These creatures aren’t just animals living in our homes; they’re family. Unfortunately, not all pet owners see it this way. The “it barks too much” or “I don’t have time to walk it anymore” excuses are common reasons why some pet owners abandon their furry friends.

But pets are living beings with emotions, even though they can’t express them through language. This is especially true for dogs who can develop intense emotions and feel the sadness that comes with abandonment. Howling, barking, whining, or panting is the dog’s non-verbal way of expressing that they feel abandoned, and it breaks their heart.

Recently, a dog in Kalamazoo, Michigan experienced this crushing betrayal. His heartless owners abandoned him on a dead-end street. Fortunately, a kind-hearted woman found the dog and posted his pictures on Facebook, along with a long message describing what had happened.

In the post, Lindsey Keller urged her followers not to attack the family by expressing hate comments because they couldn’t know the family’s circumstances. She featured the dog’s pictures to seek help for him since the person who took him in couldn’t keep him for longer than one night.
