A Kind-Hearted Woman Saves a Neglected Pit Bull Abandoned in the Forest Near Her Home

When Cheryl Minskey heard the news of a Pit Bull left abandoned in the forest, she knew right away that this pup was meant to join her family. With an already full house of rescue dogs, who were all cherished members, Cheryl felt compelled to save the dog.

Before her valiant effort, Cheryl discovered that two Pit Bulls had been abandoned. One was luckily rescued by animal rescuers but the other remained elusive for two days! Despite their best attempts, they were unable to capture the female pup.

Cheryl decided to give it a try, and with the assistance of her friend who owned a trusty German Shepherd, she managed to capture “Honey” without difficulty because the one-year-old canine was in heat.

Cheryl observed that Honey had been utterly overlooked. When she saw her, the pup appeared to be frail and scared of human contact.

To restore her life, Cheryl decided to take action and rescue a neglected pit bull who had been abandoned in the forest.

Knowing that taking her directly to a shelter would only subject her to more trauma, she made an alternate plan – bringing the scared pup home with her instead. With love, care, and dedication she committed herself to rehabilitating this sweet animal until it was ready for its long-awaited forever home.

As Honey emerged and began to relish her newfound freedom, getting reacquainted with Cheryl’s rescue pups, and trotting around the forest where she had been abandoned; it became obvious that this would be an everlasting bond.

It was clear that Honey belonged right at home – with her family. Nowadays, you can find them all together on various escapades and enjoying every second of life! “She is indeed a beloved part of our household now,” says Cheryl fondly, smiling as she looks forward to more memories made with their sweet little honeybunny in tow.
