Nothing can get Matilda down; she’s one of the most blissful dogs ever seen, even though her life had a bumpy beginning.
When she was only eight weeks old, the Douglas County Animal Shelter in Georgia came across a stray pit bull pup and promptly brought her into their care.
Despite being ridden with parasites and having multiple skin problems, she showed immense strength of character from the moment of her rescue; beaming joyously like a ray of sunshine.
Her infectious smile and loving kisses quickly won over the hearts of everyone at the shelter. So when Pibbles & More Animal Rescue encountered her, they couldn’t help but feel compelled to put her in a foster home that same day.
When the time came for her to go to a foster home, she was overjoyed. Her tail wagged so wildly fast that it seemed as if it would fly away at any moment!
As Kerrie Rich drove to her home with Matilda, the pup’s tail barely stopped wagging during the one-hour journey. It was clear that she was overjoyed at this new adventure and couldn’t contain her enthusiasm!
Matilda is an optimist; she never looks back on the past and radiates her enthusiasm all around. Her delightful disposition enables everyone near her to take part in a bit of joy, thus making life more enjoyable for all.
Matilda is now living a life of bliss with Rich, her tail never ceasing to wag from the overwhelming joy she feels.
Matilda’s presence in the home has been nothing but heartwarming as she joyfully plays with her foster siblings. Her affection is contagious and fills everyone around her with a sense of happiness.
When her skin is completely healed, she’ll be ready to embark on her next adventure – discovering a permanent home. Anyone lucky enough to adopt this lovely pup will have the opportunity of a lifetime!
