The hospital team initially thought the little one might be unwell. They immediately set out to assist this heroic mom and her adorable kitty.
Merve Özcan, who witnessed the whole incident, shared the heartwarming story on Twitter. “We were in the hospital emergency room when a cat dashed in carrying her kitten,” she wrote.
While the little kitten underwent a check-up, the worried mother was offered food and water. After a thorough examination, the medical team found both the mother and the kitten to be healthy.
However, to ensure their well-being, they also arranged for a vet to examine the feline duo. It quickly became clear that the mommy cat had brought her kitten to the hospital seeking safety. She must have known that she’d find kind-hearted people there.
Istanbul is renowned for its residents’ affection for cats and the compassion shown towards strays. It’s not unusual to spot bowls of food and water left out for the city’s stray cats.
