Animals have emotions as well. They like people and require love and companionship as well as friends and family. They are heartbroken as a result of their abandonment. Some end up dead on the streets or even taken to a shelter. It’s a traumatic experience for any pet.
That’s why it’s so heartwarming to see two dogs that, despite their dreadful circumstances, have formed a close connection after their owners had a baby and decided they didn’t want the animals anymore.
The two canine buddies named Cici and Chewbacca wound up in a shelter. It’s tough to imagine the desperation a dog must feel when their sole family abandons them and they’re locked up with an unclear future. Despite the difficulties, these two animals were able to rely on each other.
Every time a member of the staff went to their cage, Cici and Chewbacca were cuddled up together. Their considerable size disparity never seemed to be an issue.
Instead, it was evident that their bond of love and friendship was as strong as it could be.
Together, they fought against the terror and loneliness felt by abandoned pets. Their bond was so strong that the centre staff created an exception for them.
These two canines would either be adopted together or not at all. They would never be separated.
A picture of the pair was shared and owing to the wonders of social media, it quickly went viral. As a result, a family was located to take in both dogs. These two can now live happily ever after in their forever home.
They are cuddling and playing with each other to their heart’s content.
