Biker On The Highway Sees A Man Beating A Dog Mercilessly, So He Rescues The Canine And Brings Him Home As His New Furry Friend

Brandon Turnbow’s Valentine’s Day took an unexpected turn when he witnessed a small dog being abused while speeding down Highway 171 in Texas on his motorcycle. On his way to meet his dad for a day of bike riding, Turnbow spotted a man brutally beating a small Jack Russell. Livid, he quickly decided to confront the man, but before he could say anything, the assailant threw the dog onto the curb and drove away.

Knowing he couldn’t leave the injured dog behind, Turnbow slowly and carefully approached the trembling animal.

Turnbow feared the dog would run into oncoming traffic if he made any sudden movements, but thankfully the dog didn’t budge.

“Taking a chance, I folded my body over him to see if he would bite or trust me,” Turnbow wrote on Facebook. “He then laid his shaking body into mine, so I stood up with him in my arms and sat him on the bike seat. Now what?”

Turnbow was aware that he needed to act fast, yet he didn’t want to frighten the dog more than necessary. Thus, before continuing down the road, he started up his motorcycle so that the pup could get accustomed to the noise and vibrations. Once the dog appeared relaxed, Turnbow gently placed him in his bag.

“I was driving when I looked in my rearview mirror and saw a man toss a dog into the air and then drive away. So, I decided to follow him just so I could give him the finger.” Brandon said on Facebook. “And now I have a new co-pilot – meet Mr. Davidson.”

That day, Turnbow took the pup he named Mr. Davidson after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle home with him. Luckily, Mr. Davidson loved riding on motorcycles!

“I frequently glance back to see if the dog is uncomfortable, and to my amazement, he actually seems to enjoy it… So we had a 45-mile journey ahead of us to get back home, and Mr. Davidson was ecstatic! I believe at times he became frustrated with me for blocking his wind!”

The 10-year-old dog quickly got used to living at Turnbow’s house and loved his new dad.

Mr. Davidson was just as loved by Turnbow as the dog was loved by him. He even wrote a song about the pup!
