Ladybird’s tale is one of loyalty and hardship. She and her owner journeyed across the country for nine wonderful years, always returning to their home in North Carolina to rest before embarking on another adventure.

However, their travel was halted when her owner became homeless in Louisiana. He sought refuge in a shelter, saving every penny he could to return home with his beloved companion.

Stranded without a car or a roof over their heads, Ladybird’s owner made a tough decision. He left her in a public restroom overnight, leaving a note pleading for kindness towards his dog and some water for her.

Ladybird was transferred to Virginia Beach SPCA, where she was pampered and cared for. After a day of relaxation and a well-deserved pupachino treat, Ladybird was ready to return home.

News of Ladybird’s story resonated with pet organizations, prompting them to rally together. They raised funds for Ladybird’s flight home, provided medical care, and supplied her with all the pet essentials she would need.

Upon reaching her family home in North Carolina, Ladybird experienced a joyous reunion with her grandma. The pair had missed each other dearly and were thrilled to be together again.
