Experiencing the best of life is even more enjoyable when you can share it with someone special. When 67-year-old David Bahnson saw that his pup Susie could fit snugly in the cargo area of his kayak, he had an epiphany and decided to modify a few things so they could both enjoy their love for kayaking together.
To ensure Susie stayed dry and comfortable, Bahnson added a bit of coaming around the baggage compartment. And with that, their journey could commence!
Bahnson was delighted to share his seafaring escapades with Susie, and she gleefully partook in these family adventures.
When the Bahnsons welcomed another pup to their family, Banhson quickly added a second hole in his kayak so that little Ginger could join them on all of their adventures.
Susie and Ginger knew they would be safe when Bahnson brought them along on their outdoor voyages, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to disembark from the kayak as soon as they landed ashore.
Even though Ginger and Susie were well-versed in swimming, they never dared to take the plunge from the kayak.
They were ecstatic to leisurely paddle around with their dad, relishing the chance to cherish some quality time out on the lake.
Ginger and Susie had many wonderful moments on the water with Bahnson and his wife, but that was only the beginning. From exciting helicopter rides to picturesque road trips – these two were treated to an unforgettable experience.
Filled with love and adventure, Ginger and Suse’s lives were a blessing to behold. Though they have since passed away, their memory continues to live on in our hearts.
In the same vein as Susie and Ginger, Bahnson and his wife make sure that their new pets get to experience just as much adventure with them – this time taking to kayaks on thrilling voyages!
Their furry family members bask in the joy of fresh air, thrilling experiences, and all the appreciation they get from fellow kayakers on the lake.
Above all, the family cherishes every moment spent together, embracing each other in special and priceless memories.
