A Sweet Boxer was Found Chained to a Lamppost by a Heartless Person

NOTTS & YORKSHIRE BOXER RESCUE

Graham Dobson was driving to work when he saw a forlorn boxer tied to a lamppost. Since the owner hadn’t come back after several hours, Dobson contacted animal control so that the dog could be brought to safety.

Upon discovery of the dog tied up and alone on the busy road, the man chose to wait with him until his owner’s return. He provided water, food, and companionship to the pup during this time.

The Good Samaritan recounted to the Daily Mail: “I found him [the dog] looking scared and sad when I arrived for work that morning.”

Dodson sighed, “To see he had been so hastily discarded- it broke my heart. He was such a sweet dog, and very friendly too. But the abandonment left him petrified. I don’t understand why people would do something like that to any animal…I love animals dearly and despise seeing them being treated this way.”

According to Dobson, leaving a dog behind is never the solution. “The animal must have been sitting there left alone not understanding why and waiting for his owner’s return,” she said. “I hope that somebody out there who can provide a good home will step up now that he’s in the care of the local dog warden.”

Comments left by individuals expressed their thoughts on the matter; one said, “It is cruel to do that to such a selfless dog. I hope he finds his forever home.”

One woman commented, “It breaks my heart when people abandon animals. Look at this dog’s face—all he wants is a home where he’ll be loved and cared for. I hope he goes to a good family who will give him everything he needs.”
