Not too long ago, rescuers discovered an alluring yet heartbreaking scene: a pup, peacefully asleep on an active construction site. Fortunately, they were able to save the dog and find him a safe home!
One night, a small dog appeared on the premises of a hospital as if it was aware that people often go to hospitals when in need. Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy and an avid animal rescuer, believes this is what happened with the little pup.
Hall communicated with The Dodo and exclaimed, “He magically appeared out of thin air – there was no one around at all!”
One night, a small pup somehow made its way into the hospital’s off-limits area which was under renovation. The construction workers who stumbled upon him the next morning had no clue of his origin, but they were determined to lend him a helping hand regardless.
At first, the employees attempted to capture Elliot – as they would eventually name him – but he was too quick for them. Petrified, every time a person drew close to him, he would dart off in an effortless sprint.
After countless failures, the workers concluded that they needed assistance from a skilled rescuer to help them save Elliot. To make his stay more comfortable in the meantime, they did all that was within their power.
Hall recounts how the couple left behind a blanket for him one day, and since then, he has been waiting on his little blanket every single day.
The personnel swiftly organized food and water for the pup, then miraculously uncovered Hall’s contact information. After calling her immediately, she put all other tasks aside to lend a helping hand.
Hall entered the room, and there it was – a blanket-covered pup that seemed to be apprehensive. She slowly moved closer, hoping for an opportunity to lend a hand. However, before she had the chance of getting near him he already ran away!
Hall exclaimed, “As soon as I set my eyes on him, he took off running! He had concealed himself in every corner of the room and for a moment we were at an impasse – though I was confident that there was no way for him to escape.”
After scouring the construction area for a few hours, Hall determined to construct an animal-friendly trap with some irresistible bait: hot dogs. After two hours of patiently waiting, his plan came through and the pup ventured into the trap!
Hall rushed Elliot to the veterinarian, where subsequent examinations revealed he had several infections. Thanks to antibiotics, these were quickly cleared up–but then one test result left them stunned.
Hall revealed that upon X-raying her pet, a spring was discovered inside his stomach, emphasizing how hungry the animal truly was and showcasing its tendency to consume any item it could find.
Elliot’s hard work paid off; he was able to make it through the spring, with no extra help needed. It wasn’t long before he was ready to start his journey with a loving foster family.
Elliot is thriving in his new foster home. When he first arrived, Elliot was shy and reserved; however, ever since meeting his devoted foster mom, the timid pup has blossomed into a brave and loving dog! His foster mother echoed this sentiment: “He’s perfect – I’m so glad that he’s come out of his shell.”
When Elliot’s foster mom discovered his adoration for blankets during a construction site visit, she decided to treat him with the perfect present – an entire tower of them! Naturally, he was ecstatic about this new comfy mountain right away.
Elliot continues his quest for the ideal forever home, but Hall is confident that he will find them soon. “He’s just so cheerful and cuddly,” said Hall. “I can attest to him being unequivocally lovable.”
