Four months ago, a devoted dog began waiting outside of the hospital where his owner had sadly passed away. The loyal pup stands guard day and night in honor of his beloved companion, never losing hope that they will be reunited again one day.
Without a name, the pup has been lingering outside of Santa Casa de Novo Horizonte hospital in Brazil for some time now, according to local media reports.
When the ambulance carrying his beloved owner, a 59-year-old homeless man who had been injured in a street fight, sped away to the hospital, he followed close behind.
Unfortunately, despite all attempts at reviving him after being stabbed multiple times by his assailant, he passed away from his wounds soon afterward.
O Globo newspaper reports that the man’s faithful pup has been on guard ever since.
The hospital staff provided the dog sustenance and a new residence at an animal kennel located two miles away. However, shortly after being placed in his new home, he managed to escape from the kennels and return to where it all started – the hospital!
As of now, no plans for the dog have been reported; however, we ardently pray that the hospital is successful in providing this loyal dog with a loving home.
