Officer Heroically Trudges Through Snow to Save Dog Lost in Snowstorm

It’s always uplifting to witness people going the extra mile to assist an animal in distress. This was certainly true recently when a brave law enforcement officer ventured out into a heavy snowstorm just to save one dog.

Ogden Police Department, in Utah recently issued a Facebook post revealing that Animal Service Officer A. Dickman had taken an emergency call about a dog that sounded to be in deep trouble.

Reports indicated that the pooch had broken away from home and was now struggling to survive in a budding snowstorm.

ASO Dickman, however, went beyond just her call of duty to ensure the dog’s safety. Her adventure included a treacherous journey that saw her hiking Bonneville Shortline Trail despite heavy snow conditions; and huzzah! She was able to locate the canine in question.

After the traumatic experience, the dog was reportedly left feeling extremely distressed. However, with quick thinking and action from Dickman a scan of the pup reunited it with its owners who were overwhelmingly relieved.

The police officer’s exemplary actions were highly praised by the department; they went above and beyond to ensure this helpless pup was reunited with its family.

The Ogden Police Department commended ASO Dickman for his ongoing commitment to the treasured community of Ogden.
